Taidong is not short of la mian options, or anything else for that matter. And one good and convenient place to get your fix is on Fengsheng Lu, just off the pedestrian shopping strip of Taidong 3 Lu and beside the Gu Shang Yi Yuan hospital. The clean and very fashionable la mian restaurant is run by a humble and happy family and its super location caters for a steady clientele.

The soup here is clear and oil-free and very fresh and healthy tasting, though it lacks the meaty kick of other la mians, while the noodles are made with true la mian craftsmanship. The 加肉 option would be recommended to beef up the soup. Cold side dishes of seaweed, tofu and salted cucumber are available as well as big naan to dunk in your soup.

And if you get here too late, never fear - there is a 24-hr pay-before-you-eat la mian eatery right next door - a little on the oily side but another good la mian nonetheless!
